Redesigning our hosted financial, identity, and privacy protection solutions that drive growth

As Senior Director of Product UX & Design, I led the redesign of our white‑label solution so financial institutions, fintechs, and digital brands can launch quickly, deliver clearer value to their customers, and drive stronger engagement and revenue. The platform is now React‑based, design‑system‑driven, and flexible enough for partners to make it their own—while preserving the clarity, consistency, and accessibility consumers need to confidently take control of their financial futures.

Challenge

Partners and their customers faced recurring issues with our legacy hosted solution: long implementation timelines, inconsistent UI patterns, low flexibility for branding, and friction in core credit‑building, identity‑protection, and privacy workflows. The experience needed to be modernized so any organization could launch quickly, deliver meaningful value, and support their consumers in building financial security.
 

My Role

Define the vision, experience strategy, and UI system. I worked across product, engineering, design ops, accessibility, data, and partner‑facing teams to ensure the new React‑based, design‑system‑driven solution could be launched fast, scaled reliably, and tailored to partner needs without compromising clarity or accessibility.
 

Audience

Financial institutions, fintechs, and digital brands adopting TransUnion’s D2C capabilities for their own customers—representing 20M+ consumers already onboarded, with significant growth projected through new FI launches.
 

Constraints

Enterprise complexity (legacy systems, regulated content), strict accessibility requirements, design‑system alignment across multiple teams, and the need for a highly flexible white‑label experience that supports theming, partner segmentation, rapid onboarding, and seamless integration into diverse ecosystems.

Onboarding speed: improved from 6 months → 4 weeks (stand up a live product in < 30 days).

Design velocity: +60% prototyping/design productivity  via UI standardization + documentation (Figma and StoryBook).

Accessibility savings: Modern FE + accessible components helped avoid ~$5M/year in ADA remediation tied to legacy UIs.
